Parliament beckoned for TICA on Monday 5 March as shortlisted entrants to the first ever AAC Apprenticeship Awards were celebrated in London.

Chief Executive, Marion Marsland, and Operations Manager, Madeleine Hill were invited to the reception at the House of Commons, hosted by the Education Select Committee chair, and former skills minister, Robert Halfon MP.

TICA submitted a nomination to the Construction Apprenticeship provider of the Year category of the new awards; and was shortlisted – along with CITB.

“The awards are a great opportunity to celebrate the amazing work of employers and providers in the apprenticeship sector,” said Shane Mann, FE Week publisher and chair of the judging panel.

Whilst the regional winners of three of the other categories were announced at the event, TICA will have to wait until later this month to find out whether or not they have been chosen as the first recipients of the prestigious award.

“We’re thrilled to be shortlisted; to be recognised as a contender at national level is a testament to the hard work and commitment of the whole team,” said Marion.

The winner will be announced at the Annual Apprenticeships Conference in Birmingham on 22 March.
