We would like to welcome three new members of staff to the Training Delivery Team at TICA:
Michael Tait has joined us as Regional Training Officer for Scotland and the North East. Michael is a former TICA Apprentice who completed his Thermal Insulation Apprenticeship whilst working for Kaefer C&D and has subsequently gained many years industry experience. In 2009 Michael was chosen to represent the North East region in the UK’s ‘Apprentice of the Year Competition’ in London which bore testament to his skills and abilities in the industry. Michael is a welcome addition to the team who is settling in well and already making a good impression.
Diane Ferguson has recently joined our team as a full time Functional Skills Tutor, who has a wealth of experience in: education, teaching and training. Diane has hit the ground running and is already popular with the current learners. In addition to delivering maths and English lessons Diane will be delivering: health and safety sessions (to both TICA and ACAD apprentices), ICT and Employment Rights and Responsibilities. It is great to have Diane on board.
Jack Roberts is the first Trainee Workshop Technician to be employed by TICA. This is a new role and Jack will support the Training Team within the workshop. His responsibilities include: preparing the workshop for the delivery of practical sessions, monitoring stock levels of materials, carrying out health and safety checks and preparing metal for workshop sessions. Jack is already proving to be a valuable team member. We look forward to developing Jack and progressing him within his role.
