ACAD members will be familiar with the findings from the HSE’s analyst inspection programme from 2015 via the popular ACAD regional meetings and up to date ACAD training material.  HSE have now made a draft version of their report available to ACAD to distribute to our members, however don’t forget this draft version may be subject to change, just like the recent PoW guidance document changed from the ‘final draft’ to the published operational guidance layout.

The Inspection Programme identified a number of failings or deficiencies in terms of the expected standards for some but not all analysts and there are “practices” or “activities” which may not be compliant with legal requirements according to the report.  The inspection programme found that Analysts may be placing themselves at personal risk in some cases.
