The SQA Star Awards take place in Edinburgh on Friday, and TICA’s been shortlisted.

The annual Scottish Qualifications Authority awards recognise commitment, achievement and innovation across Scottish education and training.

TICA is in the running for the ‘Centre of the Year’ accolade, and has been shortlisted against two other providers.

SQA is the awarding body for TICA’s NVQ qualifications.

“It goes without saying that we are very proud of our Darlington training centre, our facilities, staff and learners,” says Madeleine Hill, TICA’s Operations Manager.  “It’s great to secure a place on the shortlist, and we’re looking forward to attending the ceremony at the end of the week to find out if we’ve won.”

Last year’s winners in this category were ACOP, a company offering training and plant hire for the construction industry.
