Recruitment of 2017/2018 apprentices is going really well, numbers are higher than 2016/2017 already with 3 more Induction weeks scheduled for early in 2018.

The remaining dates for Inductions are as follows:

08 Jan 18 for one week: English & Welsh Non Levy Paying Employers
22 Jan 18 for one week: English & Welsh Non Levy Paying Employers

Extra Induction added – 26 Feb 18 for one week: Open to all.

Apprentices will be allocated training groups following their induction.

The BIG news is that English and Welsh apprentices starting in 2017/18 will be funded by ESFA as residential apprentices. Funding allocated to each apprentice contains an element to pay for their accommodation and meals, but not for travel. This means that TICA will arrange and pay for your apprentice’s accommodation (and meals) saving you effort and, more importantly up to £5,000 per apprentice!

Unfortunately at this time the Scottish Government has no appetite to fund residential apprenticeships.
